Robin Rowland has over three decades of experience in visual and written journalism. He is author of five books, including the first book on how to do research on the interent in the pre-Google era, two investigative books on Prohbition era organized crime and a thrid on war crimes in the Second World War.
In 2010, he took early retirement as photo editor of CBC News to return to his home town of Ktimat, BC.
From his base in Kitimat, BC, he pubishes Northwest Coast Energy News which covers the issues of energy (pipelines, tankders, biofuels) in northwest BC and freelances as a visual journalist and editorial photographer. Robin Rowland Photography blog.
His occasional blog Tao of News looks at the long term future of news and journalism.
Since returning to Kitimat he has freelanced for CBC News (radio and online), Canadian Press pictures and GlobalBC.
He is available for journalism assignments in all forms of meda.
